Sometimes life seems so unfair. You might have gone through a series of losses or setbacks, and it’s easy to think, “It will never get better. This is just my lot in life.” If you are not careful, your negative thoughts will create a self-fulfilling prophecy. I was entering the peak of my life at 45 years old, had it all going on and then one day I got hit on my Harley and would find myself struggling to get my life back as I would experience some of the most challenging times of my life.
I learned then that you must keep fighting, you cannot give up. When you get knocked down it is a test of your inner courage and fortitude. If you’re not careful, as you go through these challenges in life, it could have you spiraling out of control in your mind.
It begins with one unfair situation, then we magnify it by having and holding on to the wrong mind-sets. I’m asking you to break out of that rut! Remember, as Yogi Bera said, “It’s not over till it’s over!” You may be down, but you’re not out! Your best days are not behind you, they are in front of you.
When the bottom falls out and it looks like you’ve hit an all-time low . . . When it just couldn’t get any worse, that’s the time that you need to stand and fight the good fight of faith. I know this personally because of a life threatening accident that almost claimed my life. Following this tragedy, some of the most exciting and positive things happened.
Keep standing and keep fighting. Your situation will begin to turn around when you least expect it! So believe, and get about living your very best life!
