I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I married and moved to Long Island where I raised 3 children. My husband had a stroke at the age of 43. He was a hairdresser. We had opened a beauty shop just 4 months before. I managed the shop for 5 years, sold it and opened a local tavern for 3 years. I survived breast cancerand moved to Florida in 1980. I opened a pet shop in Naples. After 2 years I sold that and took a position for the state of Florida for the next 20 years.
I retired in 2000 at age 70, then went back to school to get a real estate license. I worked from 2002 to 2007 when the recession hit the real estate market. I obtained my insurance license at 72 years of age but had an accident which affected my walking ability. I still maintain my independence so far. I have had a full life with no regrets. I have always had a positive mental outlook on life. It is what keeps me going for 81+ years. I have been blessed and still look forward to the future with plans to go on a cruise and more.
God is good. Attitude is all we have in life. If I lose that, I will have lost everything. I was brought up in a humble lifestyle. Both my parents were European born with hopes for a future here in America. My philosophy has always been to work hard, never do wrong unto others and the rest will follow.
